TIP #5: Work with all the student groups on campus and show them that within their own group, sustainability is important.
· This strategy will ensure that people from a variety of backgrounds get word of your event and attend.
· Show how elements of sustainability or environmental issues can be applied to other interest groups as well.

Example
If Arb Ambassadors, a U of M student organization dedicated to promoting Nichols Arboretum, was hosting an event in the Arb, they could attract groups like Circle K by showing them how their commitment to service can carry over into environmental work. The GeoClub could also be involved based on their focus of attracting students to join the department of Earth and Environmental Sciences and their emphasis on general community outreach.
There are plenty of other campus groups who could be interested in sustainability events, and their participation would increase commitment to the environment within their groups and hopefully continue to spread across campus.
